Mahj League, by Doggett Labs LLC. Last updated 27 September 2026.
What we keep
- Your account: a display name, and an email address or the identifier Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google gives us. If you use a password, we keep a hash of it and never the password.
- Your leagues: the names of the people in them, the sessions, who was at which table, the hands played, and whether each person's dues for a game are marked paid. The organizer types most of this in; it is their group's record of their own games.
- How you use it: server logs with request ids, timings and error details, kept so we can find out why something broke. They never contain passwords, tokens, invite codes or the contents of your league.
- Notifications: the device tokens needed to send them, and a record of what we sent you. Signing out forgets that device's token.
- Subscriptions: what the App Store or Google Play tells us about a purchase. We never see your card.
- Which features get used: the app records things like "a hand was recorded" or "an RSVP was answered", with your account's id, the kind of phone and the app version, so we know what to fix and improve. It never includes names, emails, league names, scores, notes or locations, and we don't keep your IP address. We use Amplitude to store these. You can turn it off under Me → Share usage data.
What we don't
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, and nothing that tracks you across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell your data. The only outside service that sees how the app is used is Amplitude, as described above.
- We don't ask for your contacts, your location or your photos.
- Dues are settled in Venmo, Cash App or cash, not here. No money moves through Mahj League and we never see a payment, only whether somebody marked it paid.
Who can see your league
Only the people in it. An invite link lets somebody ask to join; it does not let them look. We read league data ourselves only when you ask us to help with a problem, or where the law requires it.
Deleting it
You can delete your account in the app, and it is a real delete, not a flag. A league with nobody else in it is closed, so nobody can open it again. In a league that other people are still using, your membership becomes "Former member" and the hands you played stay attached to it, because otherwise everyone else's season would stop adding up. If you would rather that history went too, write to us and we'll do it by hand. How to delete your account, with or without the app.
Children
Mahj League isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
Where it lives
On servers in the United States, run for us by Railway, with the database backed up daily. Email is sent through Resend. Push notifications go through Apple on iPhone and Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google's service, on Android.
Asking us
Write to contact@doggettlabs.dev for a copy of your data, a correction, or a deletion. One person reads that address and will answer.
